Administrator FAQ

Applicable role: Organization (top-level user) Updated: 2026-07-14

A quick reference for frequently asked questions about the new console. Organized into four categories by topic, with a one-line answer and a pointer to the detailed article for each. When you're unsure which tier you're on or who owns a given task, start here.

For the full picture of the three-tier system, see Account System Overview; for capability boundaries, see Roles and Permissions.

1. Accounts and the Three-Tier System

  • Q: Am I an "Organization" or a "Sub-user"? How do I tell them apart? → If you can see additional menus like "Sub-user Management" and "Balance Management," you're an Organization (top-level user); if your menu after logging in is noticeably smaller than an Organization's (Dashboard, API Keys, Default Model Configuration, Usage Records, Profile), you're a Sub-user. See Account System Overview
  • Q: Are Organizations the same as "tenants" in the old version? → Yes. The new version uniformly renames "tenants" to "Organizations." Accounts and balances carry over seamlessly with no need to re-register. See Migration and Transition Notes
  • Q: Can sub-users log in to the console? → Yes, but only with a small set of menu items—they can only manage their own Keys and view their own usage. Manually entering the URL of an unauthorized page redirects them back to the Dashboard. See Roles and Permissions
  • Q: What do I need to do after my old account is migrated? → Generally nothing. Your account and balance are preserved seamlessly; only the naming and capabilities are upgraded. See Migration and Transition Notes
  • Q: After deleting a sub-user, is its usage still retained? → Yes. Historical usage is aggregated into the parent Organization and is no longer retained separately per user. See Sub-user Management
  • Q: How do I change my password? → After logging in, go to the "Profile" page to change your password.

2. Funds and Quotas

  • Q: What's the difference between balance and quota? → Balance is money (topped up into the Organization's balance pool, the sole source of funds); quota is a spending cap the Organization sets for a sub-user, not a separate wallet. See Balance Management and Quota Allocation
  • Q: Whose money is deducted when a sub-user makes a call? → It's deducted from the parent Organization's balance pool. Multiple Keys under a sub-user share the same quota cap. See Account System Overview
  • Q: Can top-ups be refunded? → Organizations cannot refund themselves; contact the platform and provide the order number. See Roles and Permissions
  • Q: How do I get an invoice? → Download the payment receipt and go through the invoicing process; invoicing is handled officially by the platform. See Invoices and Receipts

3. Keys and API Calls

  • Q: What should I put for model when making a call? → Enter the model name (e.g., gpt-4o). You can view the list of available models in the console's "Call Guide" or "Model Marketplace." If your Organization has enabled group-identifier routing (an advanced feature, disabled by default), the Call Guide page also lets you copy a call name with the group identifier (e.g., 5MHXZWKA/gpt-4o) to precisely specify the group. See Call Guide and Routing Notes
  • Q: Can sub-users create their own Keys? → Yes. Sub-users can create Keys themselves on the "API Keys" page (routing groups are limited to the Organization's authorized scope), and the Organization can also create and distribute Keys on their behalf. See Sub-user Management
  • Q: Why are some models unavailable? → The range of available models is configured by the platform per Organization; it's also possible the model hasn't yet been listed in the "Model Marketplace." See Region and Model Scope
  • Q: Will it automatically switch if the selected channel is unavailable? → No. It returns an error directly—no automatic downgrade, no fallback. See Call Guide and Routing Notes
  • Q: How do I restrict a specific sub-user's API calls? → Disable their account, or lower/exhaust their quota cap (once the quota is used up, all Keys under them are rejected). See Roles and Permissions

4. Platform Configuration Matters

  • Q: How do I change the concurrency limit? → Organization-level concurrency is configured uniformly by the platform; contact the platform if you need adjustments. See Concurrency Settings
  • Q: Who do I contact to change the range of available models? → It's configured uniformly by the platform; contact the platform if you need adjustments. See Region and Model Scope
  • Q: Do models update automatically? → No, models are not updated automatically; they are maintained by the platform's operations team as needed. If you need support for a new model, contact the platform.
